Grovia AI2 snap closure review

Assalamualaikum w.b.t.,

Its CD review!!! again, it is solely from my xperience…dis time i'll review on  grovia AI2 snap. As d name implies, AI2 or All in two cloth diaper define as

'a diaper that can function as an all-in-one diaper or as a diaper cover. An all-in-two diaper has a snap in, or lay in insert that can be removed and replaced with a clean insert after it has been wet. The cover of an all-in-two only needs to be laundered if the diaper is soiled and the cover needs cleaning. With the insert removed the diaper can be used as a cover over a prefold or fitted cloth diaper'

Grovia have good quality for a reusable diapers and I’m a satisfied customer…..the sewing (very neat n sturdy) , material for both PUL cover, inner lining cloth and the SNAP button...all the features pleased me very well :)

My Grovia AI2 will only serve their function during my baby’s day out J . It’s not my choice for in house diapering…..So, most of the time they stayed in the CD basket…i”ve collected 7pcs AI2 cover which came from retail store in mall….some from online shop and some was 2^nd hand let go CD which I bought from a sweet mummy (there is FB group joined by thousand mummy doing sell & purchase activity between them).

What do I like about Grovia AI2 snap OS:

·         My very first reason out of all the reason hehe… I LOVE THEIR PRINT!!!ESPECIALLY THE PEACOCK!!!!

 

 

·         Cutting very very n very trim ok!!! Even trimmer than disposable diaper.

 

·         For outing, I used it with grovia biosoaker….u can used other brand but I like  how the soaker stick strongly on the cover n still look thin….Never ever had leaking problem with dis combo during outing……

 

 

·         Dry really fast….u can even hang it in d house and it will dry  for sure….(but please be patient for few hours)…..d best CD for travelling….can be washed by hand and dry in d room…

·         Can be used few time as long as the cover still in dry and no smell condition…u can only change the soaker/insert IF it gets wet / dirty

·          It’s OS!! I can use it as my baby grow bigger n bigger!!!untill she potty train then enuf !!!

 

 

·         The snap button is very unique on its own…they even print grovia on each button! Although it looks exclusive for grovia, bare in mind, no other soaker or insert can fix into grovia button unless it came from their own brand…..

 

 

 

·         I’ve washed it more than 20-30x….guess what d cover colour still looking good like a brand new CD. the button & the elasticity function still in xcellent mode….wat can I ask more!!!

The wat I don’t like:

·         I can’t use it daily because the grovia ai2 cover + dry/organic soaker pad combo usually result leaking!!! AI2 actually for me is not d best choice coz my baby is not d type to behave quietly and calmly….the soaker tend to move left n right when they’re in hyperactivity situation… end up i will have to clean d leaking or changing their pants….only use d grovia cover with the grovia soaker during emergency….never exceed 2 hours!!!

for me GROVIA cd is worth to try.... u can sell it anyway if it didnt satisfy your liking.....(i really love d part dat u can sell the usable cloth diaper and still have buyer instead of buying disposable diaper n throw it into trash)

p/s: bought my 2^nd hand grovia AI2 cover at RM40/pc (still in excellent good condition altho her baby has used it for 7 month…..no regret coz d quality is still good.)

my feveret carbonara recipe!!!

Arini rase cam nak share my fevret simple dish kat cni....sgtla mudah n senang utk disediakan....tapi, resipi ni sy buat campak n masak je bukannye ade sukatan yg betol2 pun.....so kalau ade yg nak measure bahan2 ni dgn tepat knela try n error k!

originally, belajar daripada kakak ipar, tapi sbb salu je ade bahan tu tade bahan ni n so on sy modify la skit2....at d end rase akan lebh kurang same....

so lets start with d ingredient:

Bahan A:

• 1 pack hotdog nutriplus yg ade cheese kat tgh tu (salunye ade 6pcs per packet) - potong serong macam potong sayur kacang...
• 1 box (ade box besa n kecik kalau kat tesco, yg kecik pun da cukup)brown button mushroom (preferrably yg fresh bukan dalam tin) - potong nipis
• isi ayam ikut suka byk mane...(nak sng beli je dalam paket bgian dada ayam / chicken fillet)

penyediaan bahan A :

• Hotdog - goreng n asing
• cendawan - goreng n asing (nak amek minyak die skali pun boleh sbb wangi)
• isi ayam - rebus n asing....letak tepi air rebusan dan isi ayam

Bahan B

• 2 tin kecik prego carbonara mushroom atau blh ganti dgn satu tin besa soup campbell perisa cndawan/ayam
• 1 tin susu ideal
• Bawang putih 3/4 ulas potong nipis
• Sedikit minyak zaitun
• 1 kiub ayam (optional)

Penyediaan sos / kuah carbonara

1. Tuang minyak dalam kuali atau periuk pun boleh....biarkan panas jap
2. Masukkan bawang dan tumis sampai kuning (jgn sampai hangus).
3. Masukkan sos dr 2 tin prego mushroom ATAU campbell soup....kacau sampai sebati....
4. Masukkan susu ideal 1 tin ke dalam sos dan kacau.....
5. Masukkan bahan A satu demi satu...tak kisahla nak start dr sape dulu....hotdog, kemudian cendawan dan isi ayam.
6. Kalau rase kuah pekat sgt, slow2 tambahkan air rebusan ayam dan rase.....
7. Kalau rs kurang masin ke ape ke blhla tambah satu kiub ayam....(for me tak tambah kiub mmg rs da ok...berlemak gituuuu heeee)
8. Da cam mendidih sikit blhla tutup api.

Untuk mi sy gune fettucini....takde la sehalus spagetti dan sebesar cam kuey tiaw...sedang2 je....bolehla rebus mi ms tgh buat kuah/lepastu pun no hal.....anggaran penyediaan adalah untuk 4-5 org sekali makan heeeee.......tryla...sy jamin sedap...

lamenye da tak update blog...huuuuuuu so busy nak habiskan my labwork....

sedehnye nak cite tapi d truth is i have to admit yg my baby tak lagi menyusu badan adalah sgt menyedihkan.....2 minggu lps sy kene tinggalkan afrina di sarawak bersama nenek2 nya....so, wat i have to do is teach her to drink FM. mase tu sgtla ssh nak bagi die minum susu. ENFALAC, LACTOGEN, S26 sume sy try hasil dari pemberian kawan2 yg mempunyai anak yg minum fm.

Bile da baby ngs nak susu, i have to mengalah n bagi die susu badan balik.....then, when its time to send her to sarawak die msh lagi tak nak susu FM....so i try another brand of FM. its Gainplus IQ from abbott....at first die tanak langsung minum susu ni dari botol susu...so, sy bancuh susu ni dalam cup following the instruction given kat bottle which 1 scoop of milk powder equals to 2 oz of water....using straw, she suck up the milk n  minum sampai habis.......after a few time die da biase with that taste of milk, sy pun try ngan botol susu plak....Alhamdulillah she is fine to drink from botol susu as well....

i've learned that weaning off baby from breastfeeding is a difficult task....kalau ikutkan sy tanak langsung die becerai susu badan at dis age....tp sebab terpakse berjauhan u have to ajar jugk FM huhu.......among d thing i've to do utk bagi die still minum susu walaupun tak minum susu mummyda:

a) try n error mcm2 susu fm....susu baby sgtla mahal so try to ask some from kawan yg ade baby minum fm...da ade yg sesuai then baru beli
b) dis step tak sempat nak try, kalau baby tanak susu then try bg different flavour susu cam coklat/vanilla
c) try tuka botol susu / puting. now afrina lbh suke gune botol susu pigeon yg slim neck tu sbb puting tirus n tak kembang...before ni almost one year die minum ebm using avent tp with fm die langsung tanak avent bottle da...i dont know how baby could be so selective.
d) aja baby minum using cup /straw / sudu. so at least baby minum jugak susu dgn cara ni

as for mummy, the biggest problem when baby is no longer bf, sakit bengkak mmg teramatla sakit huuu....so i've to keep pumping the milk out.....now da 2 week ++ i've keep pumping milk out, hopefully the milk will dry soon....afrina pulak after 2 week tak jumpe mummy, she totally forget to bf da....even da bagi pun die tanak hisap....so dat makes me feel very very sad.......nak tdo mlm pun sy mcm jage baby baru sbb sy betul2 taktahu macam mane nak bg susu fm n bile baby nak tdo....last time when she directly bf she will fall asleep by herself.......

and that is how my breastfeeding journey end :(

Afrina's favourite food

Today I just wanna share afrina's favourite fud recipe :))

i start introduce her to chicken meat around 8 month.At that time it just simple recipe such as chicken n porridge or chicken n apple/vege......now, at the age of 10 month ++ i've started introduce more taste to her single food....

What i want to share here is her very very favourite food recipe...how did i know that? Everytime I / her babysitter feed her, she will accept the first 3-4 spoon of food very well.n then she will start to refuse the food. so, her mealtime will take at least 0ne hour to finish completely (a medium bowl with 3 or 4 big spoon of fud ). But when i prepared this food she will finish it in 15-20 minute, she even her mouth so that we feed her faster hehehe....

Porridge with chicken n spinach

Ingredient:

1 clove of garlic (cut to thin)
chicken meat (depend on how much u want)
generous knob of butter (preferrably unsalted butter)
chicken stock (volume depend on your situation- as long the stock can cover all the ingredient then its okay) / water
2 or 3 spoon rice, depend how much u want (my choice of rice is 'beras huma'- dont know where to find here in semenanjung mlaysia, but at my place (srwak) this rice also known as beras yg biasa ditanam oleh org iban....my daughter sgt suke beras ni, colour not so white n not brown....will try to upload the picture of the rice k)
spinach or any vege

Steps:

1) Heat the pan. add butter
2) Add garlic after the butter almost melt. wait for a second then add chicken meat.
3) cook for 2-3 minutes then add rice
4) pour chicken stock untill covered all the ingredient.
5) When the water reduced by half or u can see the rice almost look like porridge then add the spinach. wait 3-4 minute and then turn off the fire
4) Transfer into the food processor/ blender and blend to your own preferrable consistency. For me, I will blend 2-3 times just to mash the food n not to puree the food.

Usually I prepare food that is enough for several days. I kept it in freezer and heat it when it's time for her meal.....

lamenye tak update blog.....so busy with my research work as i need to complete it by dis nov Insya-Allah dipermudahkan.......okay! so back to my title post, afrina n air ibarat dua benda yg tidak dpt dipisahkan....hehe.....why???? evrytime she met water, she became so uncontrollable!!!

masa mandi yg dahulunya 10minit brtambah 15-20 minit untuk extra time berendam n bermain.....swimming (with help of floater) mnjadi rutin evry wik.....anything regarding air include air untuk minum di dalam cup pun mnjadi mangsa untuk merendamkan jari jemari yg chubby itu hehehe.......so u know wat i mean ^____^

Newborn List

Salam Jumaat sume, arini sy nak share pasal newborn list. Dulu ms pegnant  Afrina sy duk sorg2. Husband nun jauh d sarawak. sy plak kat penang. So nak tak nak i've to survive!!!Alhamdulillah sy tak craving n morning sickness pun tak teruk. baby paham kot.....

Sy start prepare barang2 baby nih ble pregnancy masuk 5-6 bulan hehe....not to early n not to late. Sbbnye ble da masuk 32weeks camtu da start malas nk g shopping huuu.....Mostly online shopping...skrg kan da byk baby shop online....click2 je da sampai depan umah esok luse ^__^.

kat sini sy attach baby list yg sy prepare sndiri mase pregnant last year...silela view n mayb blh jadi guide utk mommy to be...mommy 2 be blh la isi mengikut kesukaan masing2.....

Baby list 1: Clothing

Mase Afrina lahir, hampir sume brg kat checklist da ade. by 8 month of pregnancy sy da stop beli baju utk baby. long sleeve /short sleeve depend dgn situation...kalo baby tdo dlm aircond prepare xtra long sleeve...my xperience, baby mmbesar cepat sgt so baju2 newborn bli skadar cukup je....biar besar tape hehehe

Baby List 2 : Bath/Grooming/Diapering

Utk grooming, sy prefer barang johnson sbb best hehe....sampai skrg sy masih gune wet tissue anakku (wet tissue johnson mmg best tp pricey huu)...utk diapers plak da tak gune pampers...since afrina umur  6 month da try berhijrah ke cloth diaper

Baby list 3: Baby nursery

Quantity of  2 for each item tu sbb sy nak basuh n ganti nanti senang....for me, sampai skrg takde baby cot sbb baby tdo skali dgn sy atas katil :)))

Baby List 4: Feeding

Anak sy smpai skrg mmg fully breastfeed. Tp sy da prepare botol2 ni sume before die lahir lagi bukan sbb da niat nak bg botol tp utk preparation. My baby start fully breastfeed hari ke-3. at d same time sy pun da start buat stock susu n ajar die bottle feed so nanti sngla ble kte da start keje kan!untill today die msh gune teats avent (ikut number-flow) sbb da serasi.....

Baby List 5: Travelling

Utk travel, sy hnye prepare stroller n changing mat je before baby lahir. the rest lepas pantang. car seat da combine skali ngn stroller so jimat......baby carriers ble da start mls nak bawak stroller baru survey....sye da try 2 type of baby carriers n dapat 2 different xperience...ade mase nanti sy post k

wat i like: in some way mayb dis book might give me an idea or help me to live simple. it cover a lot  area termasuklah house cleaning, managing stuff/schedule/finance etc. Let me give u an example: I like my life to be organize. But at some point i like to keep thing which actually i'll not use/dont know if i'll use or keep it just for memory.So, s time goes by this type of 'thing/item' will actually become more untill i didnt have enough space to keep it. So, one thing I learn from dis book, take a picture of the 'thing' that u have, label it , keep it safely in your place n then let go the item. So now u have a lot of space to keep your new thing hihi!!!

overall, i like dis book.....bought it at boarders.can't remember how much. rm80++ i think. tu je yg sy nak conteng2 kat cni pasal buku ni....nak lbh lg blh la bace kat blog die or bli buku ni hihi.....cover keras n jenis ring kat tepi...comel...

salam sume... i've promised to give feedback on cd i've tried with afrina. my feedback based solely on my experience. different mommy will have different view bout dis cd...orait!! lets start. i've couple of coolababy in my stash. use it during daytime. 2 insert+degradable liner on the top of inner lining + put on afrina and go!!! :)

each coolababy diaper come with 2 microfibre insert

 bukaan poket yg luas-so blh isi brapa lapis insert yg kte nak

wat i like :

•  affordable-murah (beli kat MLO penang RM 30/pc) mayb blh dpt lagi murah kalau beli kat web
• cutting besa sesuai utk afrina yg chubby. for me sizing ok.
• utk velcro part still ok. tak de mslah dr sgi fizikal n function.da gune lbh 2 bln n bsh lbh dr 30x.
• inner lining kalo kene stain poo poo sgt amat senang hilang lepas gosok dgn tgn sikit n basuh cam biase
• kering dgn cepat....

wat i dont like :

• material cover lua yg tak ok. kalau afrina kencing lbh dr normal akan nampak kebocoran kat cover.....kadang2 will leak to her seluar. (syang punye pasal, sy akan gune cd nie utk kejap2 je....maksimum 2-3jam)
• pernah brlaku kebocoran mase die beyak...kat tepi area crotch bukan kat cover lua

to solve my problem: usually sy akan letak satu insert dlm poket n letak satu soaker/inner yg blh sentuh  kulit baby biasenye stay dry/bamboo material on top of the inner lining hehe.....da macam AI2 la pulak hihi..

tu je pasal coolababy yg sy tahu setakat hari ini fullstop!

nanti i bg feedback jenis lain plak k...nitey nitey!!!

update on cloth diaper

arini smangat nak update blog....till today sy da try mcam2 brand of cloth diaper untuk afrina.....kalau ade mase yg panjang bolehla sy review CD yg afrina guna heeee.......

just to simplify my knowledge bout CD till today as i've done my experiment on afrina hehe:
a) It is suitable to use pocket diape for night time as we can adjust how many insert to increase absorbancy.
b) for day time it is convenience for me to put All in 2 CD (AI2) on Afrina as I can change d insert depend on the insert wetness
c) It is easy to clean afrina poo poo with the help of degradable liner lining on the insert/pocket diaper.
d) never try all in one and cover and prefold cloth diaper as for today so no experience
e) love blueberry and bumgenius CD as they fit to afrina nicely and function very well with no lleak at all.

dats all for today...hopefully i can make full review on diaper i've been used on afrina and most important picture yeay!!!!

sekarang ni saya dlm dilema nak gune cloth diaper....da beli 2 pasang untuk try.....pejam sblah mata mse bayar CD ni kat Lunatots smalam huuu....for d first timer macam sya ni, sya mmg blur sungguh pasal CD yang ada kat pasaran...

b4 sya beli cd lunatots saya da bace n survey jenis2 cd dalam tenet tp sya tak blh bygkan sbb there a lots of term in cloth diaper world huuuu....so i give a try on new version of lunatots cd ;AI2 CD (new version ni lbh convenient in a way kalo baby pee/poo poo tak payah tuka sume cd,just tuka lining dlm tu with de clean one, d outer (aka diaper shell) water proof, kalo tak kne pee/poo poo blh gune blk). basically there are 2 types of cd.button/velcro type.

Solid food

Hello there, i dont know if any readers would view my writing heeee....

Anakku start mkn solid food at 5m 20d. Mulenye risau jgak sbb tatau nk bg baby mkn pe huuuu...lepas baca dozens of info, i give her apple puree as her first solid fud added with some milk..

I've invested on philips avent steamer blender for preparing homemade solid food for afrina....after a week of steam n blend my review for dis product: love it very much2..dis item come with manual to handle n recipe book for baby!!!!to make life easier, i've prepared her food for 3days. Simpan dlm air tight container n freeze. Skrg ni, afrina mkn 2x per day.pg n ptg.

Since she started solid fud (still on bf), she will have her poo poo once in 3-4 days which is gud compare to when she is on fully bf (more than a week).....

Selain epal puree, afrina da mkn bubur+kentang, lobak, brokoli n pear sumenye di pureekan.....bukannye mknn omputih pun (prnh je org tegur i bg mknn omputih kat afrina huuu) tp sume yg saya try atas saranan buku2 baby n bacaan2 baby dlm tenet....mommy2 yg tau baby blh mkn ape lg umur ni (6 bln) blhla drop comment k! tq
